The Mediator Release Test (MRT)
The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a blood test that identifies food sensitivities by measuring your body's inflammatory response to various foods and additives. It helps pinpoint which foods and chemicals trigger symptoms by assessing the release of chemical mediators from white blood cells.
How MRT Differs from Traditional Allergy Tests
Traditional allergy tests typically detect immediate allergic reactions (IgE-mediated). In contrast, MRT measures delayed reactions (non-IgE-mediated) and focuses on inflammation caused by food sensitivities, providing a broader understanding of how different foods affect your body.
Who Should Consider Taking the MRT
Anyone experiencing chronic symptoms such as digestive issues, migraines, fibromyalgia, joint pain, skin problems, or other inflammation-related conditions may benefit from the MRT. It is particularly useful for those who have not found relief through traditional allergy testing and treatments.
How to Get Your Blood Drawn for the MRT
Local Clients: Purchase the MRT test, visit our office, and inform the receptionist that you are here for an MRT lab draw. Your blood will be drawn on-site.
Remote Clients: Purchase the MRT test, receive the lab kit via dropship, and take it to a local lab or healthcare provider for the blood draw. Follow the kit instructions to send the sample to the designated lab.
How Long it Takes to Receive Results
Results are typically available within 10-14 days after the lab receives your blood sample. You will be notified via email from Fullscript when your results are ready.
Information Included with MRT Results
Your results will include a detailed analysis of your body's reaction to various foods and additives. Additionally, you will receive a personalized treatment plan and supplement recommendations from Sarah based on your individual results.
What to Do While Waiting for Results
While waiting for your results, you can access Part 1 and Part 2 of our educational modules to learn more about the MRT test, how it works, and how it can benefit you.
How to Interpret MRT Results
Your MRT results will be explained in a detailed report, which includes a list of reactive foods and chemicals, categorized by their level of reactivity. The treatment plan provided will guide you on how to adjust your diet and lifestyle based on these results. You can also review the included video of Sarah explaining step by step how to interpret and implement your results.
How MRT Can Help with Weight Loss
By identifying and eliminating foods that cause inflammation and adverse reactions, you may experience improvements in digestion and metabolism, which can contribute to weight loss and overall well-being.
MRT Insurance Coverage
Unfortunately, MRT food sensitivities testing is not covered by insurance.
How Often to Retest
Retesting is generally recommended if you experience new or recurring symptoms or if your healthcare provider suggests it as part of your ongoing treatment plan.
