Our Story-Contributing to the Healthcare Industry
My name is Sarah Anderson. By profession, I am a nurse practitioner. By choice, I am a devoted wife and mother of two daughters. I am a scientist by nature, so I am very particular about what I endorse and prescribe. At Anderson Integrative Medicine, LLC, you will be cared for in a way that is as individual as you are. If you are one of the many people I meet who just know that "something is wrong", we can take a deeper look at your current, physiological status to determine where deficiencies may exist. If you are looking for medication management or diagnosis of ADHD, then you will be cared for in that way. If you would like to incorporate nutritional support, advanced diagnostic testing, and/or natural alternatives to traditional medications, including pharmaceutical grade, CBD oils and THC-A (cannabis) to your new or current treatment plan, then you will be cared for in that way as well. At Anderson Integrative Medicine, LLC, YOUR health is about YOU. YOU are the reason I decided to venture out into private practice. Medical models can be frustrating. Individualized, treatment plans can make all the difference. Psychiatric visits must be paid for at the time of service, but a receipt can be provided, upon request, for patient to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. Anderson Integrative Medicine, LLC also provides functional medicine services which are not currently recognized as a reimbursable expense by insurances. Visit fees and CBD products are not covered by insurance at this time; cash and all major credit cards are accepted. Most genetic testing and diagnostic testing can be submitted to insurance for coverage or billed to insurance directly.
Sarah Anderson, FNP-C
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
I am a board certified (American Association of Nurse Practitioners) family nurse practitioner specializing in meeting the physical needs of patients from childhood throughout their entire lifespan. I have a double, BA in psychology and exercise physiology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a BS in nursing from Norfolk State Univ., and a Master of Science/FNP from Simmons Univ. in Boston, MA.
My love of the human body and the potential for optimum health is based on the principle that we are all made in God’s image. Our “temples” are affected by all of our experiences, from the foods we eat to the emotional traumas we experience and everything in between. I use my medical training to evaluate each patient’s individual lifestyle choices, current disease processes, and medications to combine both traditional, medical interventions (medications) with alternative interventions, including bioidentical hormone/thyroid replacement, supplements, replacement of nutritional deficiencies, lifestyle modifications, and oils to find the most effective ways of supporting the physical body achieve its highest, health potential.
I am a lifelong student of Functional Medicine University which is a continuing education source that is constantly updated with new research and evidence based practices seeking to identify the root causes of disease. By determining the root cause of disease, we are better able to guide treatment plans and protocols that will correct the problem at its source rather than just masking symptoms with more prescription medications.
I am happily married with 2 daughters. We are a sports loving family and can always be found on the soccer field, basketball court or baseball diamond!
